French Provincial pine benches from the South West region of France C1980. These simple but stylish, artisan-made wooden ‘bancs’ sit easily in almost any setting. At over five feet long they sit three people comfortably, great for either side of a long dining table.  They were used for outside dining, under a covered terrace, until recently. Practical and versatile they would also work well as seating in a hallway, corridor or boot room. In good vintage condition, solid, sturdy and strong, they have been refinished for protected exterior use. We also have two matching tables available, please see our other listings. Charming set of six French woven rush back and seat chairs C1950.          Quintessential French provincial seating with hand woven rushwork seats and, more unusually, backs on shapely wooden frames curved legs and ankled feet. An all original well maintained set of chairs in good vintage condition, some minor cosmetic wear to rushwork – not distracting.  Sound and solid, with nice age-related patina.
